The Practical Democracy Project

Informal, insightful sharing of ideas to improve democracy

Informal, insightful events to improve democracy

  • Hear short, practical talks by passionate speakers, sharing from their first-hand expertise
  • Ask any questions in a panel discussion and relaxed networking session afterwards
  • All welcome

The lowdown

Every few months, we find a good, informal venue or online space, invite a bunch of interesting people and spend an hour or two in productive, stimulating conversations.

You'll get to listen to short talks from a range of guest speakers who are passionate about involving people in the decisions that affect them. Each speaker will share from their own expertise – gained from first-hand, real-world experience.

Next event

PDP is back, and this time it's online. Join us on the 23rd September 2021 at 11AM GMT, when we'll be tackling the tricky topic of traffic regulation: does the public understand TROs? Do they represent a democratic deficit? With speakers from GeoPlace and Playing Out.
