Since launching aMap 6 weeks back, the concept really seems to have taken off with it virally propelling itself round the internet, getting people arguing from all corners of the world.
A couple of my favorite arguments this week include:
England or Australia byEmily from Norwich
Popcorn: sweet or salty by John from Bideford
Execution or Life Imprisonment by Matt from Wellington
aMap’s a great example of how engagement and consultation projects can go “viral” and spread themselves naturally through the internet – with people blogging and tweeting and passing it amongst friends.
Linked to this, our sister agency Rubber Republic, who specialise in viral advertising, have been leading a debate on the Today Programme about what “viral” is and made a viral film for them to test the concept – featuring Evan Davis in a space suit, James Naughtie in a thong and John Humphrys in a v-neck sweater . . . You can check out the Today programme viral here, and also the Today programme’s analysis of it here. Enjoy!
