After talking to several councils about purchasing models for Budget Simulator and understanding the growing need for consulting on cuts this year, I’m pleased to say that we are now able to offer discounts for organisations buying in partnership. Hopefully, this means it’s even easier to make the business case for including an online element in budget consultation, and will help people who are interested in using Budget Simulator to get started.
The savings basically work like this: if you purchase a Deluxe or Advanced Budget Simulator, and another organisation within your county also purchases a Deluxe or Advanced Budget Simulator within 30 days of you, you will both receive a 10% discount on the cost of your license*.
There are further discounts available if more than two authorities in the same county sign up within 30 days of each other:
- 3-4 Authorities = 15% discount on the cost of each license
- 5 or more Authorities = 20% discount on the cost of each license
We’re happy to do conference call demos with groups from across organisations – this has worked well in the past to build a shared picture of what’s possible. For those interested, a good way to start the ball rolling might be to forward this link to a counterpart at a neighbouring council to see if they’re considering using Budget Simulator.
If you’re thinking about doing some online consultation this year, please get in touch with us to discuss if anyone in your area might be able to link with to receive a discount – adam.cardew@delib.co.uk
*Obviously, we’re human and understand the occasionally eccentric geography of the UK – the offer also includes neighbouring or nearby organisations (not limited to Local Authorities) who happen to fall into different counties. The Simulators don’t need to be identical either – we know that most organisations will have unique circumstances and needs.
