Using my Nancy Drew powers of detection (and now realising the internet has known for ages!) I have found out that the Leaders Debate is being held in the Arnolfini in Bristol. Precisely 3 minutes from our office and on my route to and from work.
The set up around the venue has been going on all week. I asked a security person what was going on, and the response was “filming”. Now being in Bristol I assume, as everyone else does that equates to Skins, but apparently not on this occassion. The fact that they have had divers sweeping the water nearby, an airport style security scanner and are taping up all the bottle banks in the vicinity should have given me a few more clues it was something a bit more important!
Everyone at the Delib office will be hanging off every word as the self confessed fan boys and girls pore over the debate and twitter simultaneously. This time however it is in our neighbourhood – how exciting!
